After my studies in Cologne, Paris, and Berlin, where I passed the First Examination in Law, I completed my judicial traineeship in Berlin and Johannesburg - passing the Second Examination in Law in 2014.
As a judicial trainee, I worked for the Commissioner for Integration and Migration of the Senate of Berlin, the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights and the South African NGO Lawyers for Human Rights. Between 2014 and 2017, I was a parliamentary assistant to Volker Beck, Member of the Bundestag and spokesperson of the Green Party Caucus for migration policy, and subsequently head of his parliamentary office in Berlin. Since 2018, I practice as an independent attorney.
From 2012 until 2017, I was a pro-bono counsellor at the Contact and Counselling Center for refugees and migrants in Kreuzberg. I am a member of the German Migration Law Network and I regularly publish on topics related to migration policy. I also offer training courses on migration law.
